Testimonials
At Hot Glass Beads we
receive a great deal of letters and email from people all over the country.
Some mail from beadmaking students as well as bead customers. Shop and gallery
owners often email us regarding a recent class we taught. Please read the
following letters and feel free to send us your
comments when you finish.
Thanks again to everyone for writing us. Karen and David, HGB 2004
One of our bead customers
from FL writes.....
"Always on
the lookout for original and fabulous lampwork, I found the wonderful
designs by Karen Stavert and David Miller inspiration for my one of a
kind beadwork. I want all the components to reflect my desire to create
work that dazzles and compels each original design. I accomplish that
goal with the wonderful beads created by Karen and David of Hot Glass
Beads." - Judi Wood, artist and bead weaver of precious objects.

One our of bead customers
wrote us.....
Dear Karen and
David,
"When I first saw Karen's dichroic glass beads it was love at first
sight. Not only for each beautiful bead, which is in itself a work of
art, but also with Karen. She is full of warmth and a shining personality
that comes through in every carefully sculpted bead. Each unique design
is a testimonial to why Karen is indeed the "DichroDiva" of
the modern glass bead movement." - Marsha Reaves, bead artist
A recent beadmaking
student from Wm Holland School writes.....
Dear Karen and
David,
"What a thrill it is to open the kiln and find some decent beads!!
I spent 5+ hours at the torch yesterday and almost all of the beads are
keepers. I just had to share my excitement with you. Finally, I am getting
some control-you were so right to WATCH what happens and make adjustments.
It takes time, patience and practice, practice, practice. My dots are
better-still not perfect, and I can wrap filigrana in a spiral-and I did
a couple of overwraps too. Nothing glitzy but precious to me because they
came out like I wanted them to- this is progress:-) I am hopeful to send
you a scanned image later this week-I don't know anyone who will understand
better my shear excitement of this process. Thanks for your continued
support."
PS "I think your bead release is fabulous" - Mary Ann M.
A bead shop owner
in Florida writes....
Dear David and
Karen,
"Thank you again for your wonderful workshops at the store last weekend.
Your presentation and professionalism with the students reaped great rewards,
not only in the smooth, informative sessions we had, but in the
repercussions
all week from the students as well as their friends who missed your classes
and want to know when you will be back! Good luck and enjoy all your endeavors
until we meet again."
- Sharon S., owner Iris Moon Beads, FL
President of East
Central FL Bead Society writes.....
Dear Karen and
David,
"Thank you so much for the great lampwork beadmaking workshop last
month. Your instructions were so easy to understand that the entire class
was able to successfully make beads. Several of us purchased equipment
and are now making beads on our own. It is to such talented and sharing
people such as you that we owe so much for encouraging and helping to
multiply the deserved popularity of all crafts.
We will be forever grateful for your kind and generous help. We look forward
to having more workshops and learning more advanced lampwork."
